At River Road Presbyterian Church we seek to magnify the glory of God and proclaim the gospel through worship which challenges the mind, nourishes the spirit, honors tradition, demonstrates liturgical depth, exercises creativity in its use of music and the arts, and addresses the needs of individuals and families today.

In worship we acknowledge that God is present in the world and in our lives. As we respond to God's claim on us and God's redemptive action in Jesus Christ, we are transformed and renewed. In worship we offer ourselves to God and are equipped for God's service in the world.

Worship

8:45 a.m. - Informal Service in the Sanctuary

11:00 a.m. - Traditional Service in the Sanctuary

*10:00 a.m. - Blended Service in the Sanctuary during the summer months

 

Church School

For All Ages - 9:40 a.m. except during summer months

 

Worship is the central act of the people of God. At River Road Presbyterian Church, the Word of God is central to our worship services.

 

Communion is celebrated each month and on other occasions of special significance during the year. Baptisms are conducted during the worship services where the entire congregation participates.

 

All of our Sunday worship services feature a weekly Time with the Children, when our youngest worshipers come forward and sit on the steps with the pastor or our youth director for a learning experience designed specifically for them.

In addition to our regular Sunday services, we have worship services on Maundy Thursday and two Christmas Eve services.

Nursery Care

Care is available throughout the morning for infants and toddlers. For assistance, inquire in the church office.
